The Pont-Aven is Brittany Ferries' fantastic £100m flagship ferry, launched in March 2004, setting new standards in passenger ferry travel. The largest vessel in the Brittany Ferries' fleet, the 41,000 tonne Pont-Aven is also the largest ferry operating out of Northern Europe, and can carry 2400 passengers and 650 cars.
Cruising on the Pont-Aven is like taking a holiday in itself, but not only does the ship offer a luxurious experience with its excellent facilities, it has also dramatically improved sailing times to Spain and France. Crossing time to Santander has now been cut to only 20 hours, almost half that of competitors, and sailing times between Plymouth, Roscoff and Cork are also dramatically reduced.
The Pont-Aven's facilities simply can't be matched by any ferry sailing to northern Spain. It boasts stunning features including a pool and leisure area with a glass roof, a wrap around promenade for pleasant deck strolls, a dramatic five deck high atrium with panoramic views from the lifts, and outstanding accommodation. All 650 cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite facilities, and the accommodation is of the same high standard you would expect from a quality hotel.

Onboard Accommodation on the Pont-Aven
The Pont-Aven boasts superb accommodation, setting new standards in comfort and style. All 650 cabins have air-conditioning with individual temperature control, en-suite bathrooms, comfortable seating and a radio.
All cabins with the exception of standard class have a flat screen TV, and the luxurious Commodore and Deluxe cabins also have DVD players, while Commodore cabins also have their own private balconies - the perfect place to relax while enjoying the sea views.

The Pont-Aven offers guests fantastic facilities, including a range of entertainment and relaxation options normally only found on cruise ships.
Pool & Leisure Area
The magnificent indoor pool area offers guests the perfect opportunity to unwind. Relax on a sun lounger, sip a drink at the bar, or have a splash in the pool that offers great sea-views.
Entertainment
Talented live bands and solo vocalists, pianists, DJs and children's entertainers all feature heavily in our busy entertainment programme on the Pont-Aven this year. The full line-up are onboard from mid-March to autumn 2009, with occasional solo tribute artistes in the school holidays too.
On Deck
For a stroll, the Promenade on deck six allows you to walk all around the ship, while the ship's top deck offers a calm spot to relax, while enjoying the sea air and incredible views, particularly when entering or leaving the port.
Cinemas
Enjoy the latest films in the ship's two cinemas, both featuring surround sound. The cinemas seat a total of 90 passengers. Cinemas are avaialable for a small charge.

Children's playroom
Young children can enjoy fun and games in our playroom.
Teenage Room
The games room on deck nine will keep teenagers entertained throughout the trip. Highlights include the latest video games and an air hockey table.

Reclining Seat Lounge
This room on deck nine offers 47 comfortable reclining seats for passengers without a cabin.
Commodore Lounge
This exclusive room on deck eight is for suite passengers, and includes access to two side patio areas.
Mezzanine
The spacious lounge on the mezzanine level of the main bar includes comfortable lounge chairs and sofas.

Baby Cots are limited. The cots that Brittany Ferries supply are ideally suited for infants of 12 months and under. Floor space is limited in the cabin once a cot is in position. Exact dimensions: Length = 110cm, width = 50cm, depth = 45cm. If cot is needed then it must be requested at time of booking.
Plug sockets in the cabins are in the cabins as well as Shaving Sockets in the en-suite facilities. These are European sockets (220/240) and an adaptor will be required. Adaptors can bought on board and are subject to availability.
HAIR DRYERS are only provided in Commodore and Deluxe Cabins. No other cabin grade/type have hair dryers so it will be necessary to bring your own if one is needed.
Luggage Assistance is not provided. We recommend for your own comfort that you only travel with luggage, which, you can easily carry yourself.
Internet is available on onboard Pont-Aven. Passengers wishing to use this service should go the to the Information Desk to purchase Wi-Fi time. Passengers will be advised which areas on the decks are Wi-Fi enabled.
Kennels will not be operational on the mv Pont~Aven during the Christmas and New Year Festive Mini-Cruises. No pets will be allowed onboard the ship during this time.
Dining on mv Pont Aven
The Pont-Aven offers a wide range of high-quality dining options, including the a la carte Flora Restaurant and self-service restaurants La Belle Angele and Le Café du Festival. Top French chefs prepare the delicious, freshly prepared French, grill and world cuisine.
Le Flora Restaurant
The main restaurant, Le Flora is very stylish with large panoramic windows for ocean views. Customers can choose a buffet or set menu and enjoy fine à la carte cuisine, prepared by top French chefs in sophisticated surroundings.
La Belle Angele
An ideal restaurant for an informal self-service meal, with a wide range of delicious meals including grill, world and traditional menus. Located on deck 7.
Le Café du Festival
This self-service café, has a wide range of tasty meals, pastries and sandwiches. Situated on deck 7.

Drinking
The Pont-Aven has a first-rate selection of bars including the large main bar, Le Grand Pavois, a stylish piano cocktail bar, Le Fastnet, and the poolside bar.
Le Grand Pavois Main Bar
This large bar is set over two floors, and can accommodate hundreds of guests. The mezzanine level has a glass roof, which leads out to the pool area, including the pool bar and sundecks. A large staircase connects the mezzanine to the downstairs, which includes stages and dance floors. It comes alive at night with a superb entertainment programme.
Les Finistères Pool Bar
Relax by the poolside at Les Finistères, before dipping your toes in the water.
Le Fastnet Piano Bar
This stylish bar, featuring live piano music, is the perfect place to enjoy cocktails in relaxing surroundings. As the bar is situated next to the main restaurant, it's an ideal place to meet for pre-dinner drinks. On deck 7.

Food and Drink prices aboard the Pont-Aven are very similar to the average High Street Prices in the UK!
A four-course evening meal in Le Flora A’La Carte Restaurant is approx from £19.50 pp and a full English breakfast is from £8.00 pp. Le Flora is very stylish with large panoramic windows for ocean views. Customers can choose a buffer or set menu and enjoy fine a’la carte cuisine, prepared by top French chefs in sophisticated surroundings.
Main courses in the Self-Service Restaurant start from Approx £6.00 pp, with Breakfast starting from approx £3.50 pp. All prices are based on adult rates. Children’s menu is also available as well as baby food.

Vegetarian options are available both in Le Flora as well as the Self-Service Restaurant.

Gala Christmas Day Lunch and New Year’s Eve Dinner
In the Le Flora Restaurant a fabulous 5-course meal will be available for the Christmas Day Lunch or on New Year’s Eve’s there is a fantastic New Year’s Eve Gala meal planned. Bookings will commence later in the year and information will be posted or emailed to our customers who have booked with the pricing information for adults and children (ages 2-12).
Please note that both Self-Service Restaurants will be open on Christmas Day and on New Year’ s Eve, for passenger’s who do not wish to make reservations in Le Flora a’La Carte Restaurant.
